In the Tidepool

About me

Hello! My name is Ann. I like the ocean. No, wait. I LOVE the ocean! I grew up in San Diego, California with sand between my toes pretty much every day I could get to the beach. I have a B.S. in Marine Science from CSUMB in Monterey, California. I’m passionate about invertebrates, marine phytoplankton, and a bony fish called the Mola mola, or pacific sunfish. I also enjoy crafting, baking, playing video games and taking photographs whenever I get the chance. In the past, I worked at a technology museum as a gallery facilitator, helping people to understand both how to use the exhibits, but how to understand STEAM disciplines, and volunteered at several aquaria in both the behind the scenes and interpretation departments. I’ll be a graduate student this fall (2019) in Museology, pursuing my dream of combining my love of the marine environment with education and outreach in an aquarium space. If you have any questions, or just want to chat, hit me up at ann at inthetidepool.org 🙂 If you’d like to use any of these images, just make sure you credit me! See you in the sea!
